iWISE aims to provide a platform for students to showcase their diverse talents and creativity through performances that don’t fit within the existing Talent categories. This category encourages students to explore and express themselves through unique and innovative performances, offering them an opportunity to shine on a global platform.
We are looking for originality, creativity, and passion in performances that might include, but are not limited to, unique dance forms, modelling, theatrical acts, spoken word poetry, and experimental music performances. Our goal is to help students build confidence, gain recognition for their talents, and receive valuable feedback from experienced judges across various creative fields.
Participants will gain practical experience that will be advantageous in future opportunities and have the chance to connect with other talented individuals. This category is open to all students, performers, and creative individuals aged 10 to 24 years old. Participants can perform as individuals or as teams of up to 3 members.
Participating
– Participants may perform either as a solo (1), duo (2), or trio (3) group.
– Participants must be aged between 10 and 24 years.
Performance Duration
– Each participant or group can perform for a maximum of 5 minutes.
– 1 point will be deducted for every 20 seconds over the set time limit.
Group Size
There can be a maximum of 3 performers in a group.
Music and Sound
– Participants must provide their performance music to the relevant personnel before their performance. The organization will not be held responsible for incorrect music during judging.
– Ensure the music is of good quality and suitable for the performance.
Costumes and Props
– Finalists must have appropriate and correct costumes related to their performance style.
– Props may be used if they are integral to the performance. Ensure they are safe and manageable.
Preparation
– Finalists must be ready before their judging time. Judges have the right to disqualify any performers who are not present during their call time.
– Participants should rehearse thoroughly to ensure a smooth performance.
Originality and Creativity
Performances should be original and showcase the creativity of the participants.
Submission of Materials to iWISE
– Submit a brief description of the performance and any special requirements to the organizers before the event.
– Provide a digital copy of the music or any other audiovisual materials needed for the performance.
Judging Criteria
– Performances will be judged based on originality, creativity, technical skill and stage presence.
– The judges’ decision is final and binding.

– Mime Act
– A theatrical performance where the artist uses body movements, gestures, and facial expressions to tell a story without speaking.
– Puppetry
– A performance involving the manipulation of puppets to enact scenes or tell stories, showcasing the puppeteer’s skills in bringing characters to life.
– Acrobatics or Aerial Acts
– Performances that involve gymnastic or acrobatic skills, including aerial silk routines, trapeze acts, or other forms of aerial artistry.
– Magic Show
– A performance where the artist performs magic tricks, illusions, or sleight of hand to entertain and amaze the audience.
– Theatre Performances
– Includes various forms of theatrical acts such as improvisational theatre, monologues, and traditional stage plays that showcase acting skills, creativity, and storytelling.
– Modelling
– A performance that showcases fashion, style, and confidence on stage, where participants display clothing, accessories, and their personal modelling skills.

Requirements for Virtual Final (via Zoom)
Preparation
- – Ensure a stable internet connection.
- – Performances should be clearly visible on camera with adequate lighting and proper camera angles.
- – Set up in a quiet environment to avoid distractions during the presentation.
Presentation
- – Each participant or team will have a set time (e.g., 5 minutes) to perform and explain their performance.
- – Participants must prepare a PowerPoint presentation with a video recording of their performance in case of connectivity issues.
- – Be prepared to answer questions from the judges regarding the performance.
Zoom Setup
- – Use a device with a working camera and microphone.
- – Test the Zoom setup prior to the event to ensure everything is functioning correctly.
- – Make sure your Zoom audio settings are correct for your performance.
- – Your Zoom “Audio Profile” must be set to “Live Performance Audio”.
- – Use a laptop not a phone or tablet.
Zoom Chat
- – Submit any additional materials or props needed for the performance via the Zoom chat. This allows judges to view details that might not be visible on camera.
Attendance
- – Log in at least 15 minutes before the scheduled performance time.
- – Inform the organizers as soon as possible if attendance is not possible due to unforeseen circumstances.
