The iWISE Olympiad Journey
The iWISE Olympiad is structured across two exciting stages, giving participants the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, develop their skills, and progress towards international recognition; Qualification Round and Global Round.
Qualification Round — Preliminary Round
The Qualification Round is the first stage of the iWISE Olympiad. Participants showcase their abilities, ideas, and creativity within their chosen category, with outstanding entries progressing to the Global Final. Students have three exciting pathways to reach the prestigious iWISE Global Round through the Virtual Finals, National Finals, or Regional Finals.
- Virtual Finals: The Virtual Finals are an International Online Qualifying Round of the iWISE Olympiad, providing talented students from around the world with the opportunity to compete, showcase their abilities, and earn a place in the prestigious Global Final. Participants who achieve Gold, Silver, or Bronze in the Virtual Finals will qualify for the Global Final, where they will compete alongside outstanding young talents from across the globe. As an additional benefit, all Gold Medalists receive a 10% discount on their registration for the iWISE Global Final. The discount is valid for 30 days only from the date of qualification.
- National Finals: The National Finals are a collaborative initiative between iWISE and our official country partners, giving students aged 7 to 18 the opportunity to showcase their talents, creativity, and ideas within their own country.
The goal of the National Finals is to provide outstanding participants with a pathway to the prestigious iWISE Global Final Exhibition. Students who achieve Gold, Silver, or Bronze in any National Final will qualify for the Global Final, where they will compete alongside top-performing young talents from around the world.
Qualified Participants aged 7 or 8 years old who qualify for the iWISE Global Final must be accompanied by at least one parent when travelling overseas to attend the event.
Gold Medalists receive a 5% discount on their registration for the iWISE Global.
To further recognize excellence, the Top 3 performers in each main category will receive exclusive discounts on their Global Final registration:
1st Place: 30% discount
2nd Place: 20% discount
3rd Place: 10% discount

- Regional Finals: The Regional Finals are a collaborative initiative between iWISE and our official partners, bringing together talented young participants aged 7 to 18 from selected countries and neighbouring nations to compete, connect, and showcase their creativity on a broader stage.
Regional Final events will be hosted in selected countries, welcoming participants from the host country as well as surrounding countries within the region. This creates a unique opportunity for young people to exchange ideas, celebrate diverse talents, and compete alongside some of the region’s most promising young minds.
The goal is to earn a place in the prestigious iWISE Global Final Exhibition. Participants who achieve Gold, Silver, or Bronze in the Regional Finals will qualify for the Global Final, where they will compete against outstanding young talents from around the world.
Qualified Participants aged 7 or 8 years old who qualify for the iWISE Global Final must be accompanied by at least one parent when travelling overseas to attend the event.

Global Round — Global Finals
The iWISE Global Final is the pinnacle of the iWISE Olympiad, bringing together exceptional young participants who have earned their place through one of three qualification pathways: the Virtual Finals, National Finals, or Regional Finals.
As the ultimate stage of the iWISE journey, the Global Final provides a prestigious international platform for finalists to present their work, showcase their talents, exchange ideas, and compete alongside outstanding young minds from around the world. It is a celebration of creativity, innovation, achievement, and the limitless potential of the next generation.
From the first qualification round to the Global Final, the iWISE journey is designed to inspire discovery, growth, achievement, and excellence—empowering young people to challenge themselves, believe in their ideas, and take their talents confidently onto the world stage.
The iWISE Global Final is open to students aged 7 to 21 years old who are currently enrolled in an educational institution, including primary schools, secondary schools, high schools, colleges, universities, and other recognized educational institutions.
To ensure fair and age-appropriate competition, participants are divided into five age divisions, allowing students to compete alongside peers within their respective age groups.
Division 1: 7 to 9 years old students
Division 2: 10 to 12 years old students
Division 3: 13 to 15 years old students
Division 4: 16 to 18 years old students
Division 5: 19 to 21 years old students
For the Creative Writing, Public Speaking, Short Animated Film, and Short Film categories, participants may choose from three inspirational themes provided by iWISE or select a theme of their own choice.
Theme 1: Coming of Age
Explore the journey of growing, discovering, and becoming. This theme invites participants to reflect on how experiences, adventures, and challenges shape us as we develop greater responsibility, independence, and confidence. Like a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly, every challenge can become a step toward discovering who we are meant to be.

Step beyond the boundaries of reality and enter a world where imagination knows no limits. Blend dreams with reality to create magical worlds, extraordinary stories, and imaginative experiences where anything is possible. Let your creativity take flight and bring your dreamscape to life.
Theme 3: Art in Motion
Explore the power of movement, energy, and expression through art. This theme challenges participants to capture movement and transform still ideas into dynamic experiences. Whether through colour, form, performance, animation, or visual storytelling, bring your artwork to life and show the world how art can move us.
