iWISE qualification rounds, our exciting and inclusive preliminary round that gives students a chance to showcase their creativity and innovation on a global platform. This is our first round of the competition, and it offers a unique opportunity for the brightest young minds to qualify for the iWISE Global Final Exhibition.
The iWISE qualification rounds (Virtual Finals, National Finals, and Regional Finals) function as the initial phase of the competition to select participants for the Global Final. The process involves registration, project submission, a presentation/judging session, and a results announcement.
How the Qualification Rounds Work:
- Registration and Category Selection: Participants visit the iWISE website to register for one of the available qualification rounds. They fill in their details and select their main category (Art, Talent, STEM, Robotics, iTECH, English) and specific sub-category.
- Project Submission/Preparation: Participants must prepare their work according to specific category requirements. This involves:
- Submitting a Summary/Abstract: A written summary of the work is generally required.
- Preparing Presentation Materials: This might involve creating a PowerPoint presentation for STEM/iTECH projects, having clear photos of artwork ready, preparing a written speech in PDF format, or pre-recording a performance video due to potential technical difficulties with live streaming.
- Judging Session: The core of the qualification round is a live judging session, typically held virtually via Zoom for Virtual Finals.
- Presentation: Participants present their project, performance, or artwork to a panel of expert judges.
- Q&A: Judges ask questions about the work to evaluate the participant’s understanding, creativity, and technical skills.
- Evaluation: Judges assess the entries based on criteria specific to each category, such as originality, technical quality, and communication of ideas.
- Feedback: For those who do not qualify, judges provide valuable feedback to help them improve their submissions for a future round.
This process ensures that only high-quality projects and talented individuals advance to the final global stage of the competition.
The registration fee for the Virtual Finals works per submission (per team not per participant), and it is important to note that this fee is non-refundable. Participants are encouraged to enter as a group; however single entries are also permitted for the same price. Each group can consist of a maximum of 3 participants, ensuring a fair and manageable team size. Additionally, all submissions must provide summary of the works as specified by the chosen category. Registration process as follow:

2- Click on the Registration Tab
3- Select one of the Virtual Finals
4- Fill in your details
5- Select your available time and date for the Judging process
6- Submit your zoom judging session
7- Proceed to payment.
8- Submit your submission
All results will be emailed to participants. All medallists from the Virtual Finals will directly qualify for the iWISE Global Finals.
All gold medallists will achieve a 10% discount to register for the iWISE Global Final. The discount will be valid for ONLY a month.
All participants typically receive a certificate of participation.
Additionally, those who perform exceptionally well and achieve high rankings (medals or top positions) receive a specific achievement certificate that acknowledges their success and extraordinary performance in the competition and a qualification letter.
A qualification letter acknowledging their qualification will be provided exclusively to those who meet the criteria set for the Global Final.
All physical medals will be couriered to the relevant school or official iWISE partners’ office for the relevant country in additional cost.
